New Shuguang 12AX7B any good?

Has anyone here tried the new shug's? How are they?

They sound the same as before the fire to me. I like them but I still prefer the older square getter version. To me they have a full spectrum so if you compare to say a JJ you’ll notice more top end.

I don’t care for them in the V1 position. Sort of harsh, muddy sounding.

I have some from a few yrs ago, like 4 yrs and they are just like the military version 6n4 BUT the failure rate was higher..I ordered 5 and 2 were bad. Get them from a trusted seller instead of buying from Aliexpress, like I did. Although they were only 5 bucks per tube...vs the 6n4s that I also bought off Aliexpress, they all tested strong.
