I will be in New York from Saturday for one week.
I wanted to take this occasion to go in some shops and maybe try gear that cannot be easily found in my country.
Any advice for some good places ? I heard abouth the 48th street, but apparently it's not as good as it used to be.

Assuming you want to stay close to Manhattan?

Uber or take train to Brooklyn
Retrofret.

You can walk between these two in Brooklyn
Southside guitars
The main drag

If you want exotic take long Island railroad to farmingdale.

Davidsons well strung/formally we buy guitars. Then uber a few miles north to the Music Zoo

14th Street GC has a decent used department.

30th street guitars which is now on 27th street

Rivington guitars in the village.
Carmine street guitars.

Rudys in soho

Teaneck NJ is lark Street music but hes closed Saturday

If you decide to venture out to long Island PM and if im free i will pick you up at the train station and take you to both the music zoo and Davidson

But Davidson will be all vintage and expensive

If you decide to come out we can also hit a 2 GCs and 2 mom and pops nearby.

Then I'll drop you back off on the Manhattan line back to NYC

About 45 minutes to an hour each way

Thanks a lot for this list !
I will be in Chinatown, so I will probably try Rudy's, 30th street guitar and GC.
Not really sure if I will have time for more, but thanks for proposing to pick me up, greatly appreciated.
