I was hesitant to post a new slo day, given the amount of butt hurt it causes, but then i plugged in and holy mother of god...drool running down the side material for sure..i'm a believer, slo haters gonna hate

oh and picked this up from steve_k, packed so well that they could have just thrown it out the plane and it would have landed just fine

She looks awesome, congrats  When you get settled in with her, can you makes some clips?

I have never gotten to play an SLO . I have always wanted to , but Ive never even seen one in person.

I would love an SLO The Rackmount one. I would also love an Avenger. I'm thinking of trading my Slash Jubilee for a new amp

Me neither but i'm sure we'd like it.
Still would want my Marshalls tho ...

My wish list : 1960 CS Gibson Les Paul, Suhr Modern, SLO.

I know Jet City are nice but not the same as a Soldano IMO.

Thanks again all, i'll aim to get some clips up either tonight or this weekend for sure! I'd love to try and do a pete thorn/mark day type walkthrough, but i possess neither the playing talent or the technological talent to do that, but i'll get something up to share

i completely understand what a lot of you guys are saying about never having seen one in real life and not having a chance to play one either because i was in the same boat, i actually even went up to seattle in the hopes that one of the stores in the area would have one but no such luck

also tried to go to the soldano factory but it was closed over the weekend (of course i forgot to call in advance  )

Yeah, I got lucky and a rackmount popped up for sale locally. I played it for ~30 seconds and had to have it. It really is that special sounding and feeling to me.

Arghh, this forum makes me feel like a heroin addict in a poppy field. Congrats on a killer amp man, I sooo want to try an SLO. So many great recordings of those amps, the gas hurts!

I've had two SLOs... great, great amps. They've stayed at the top so long for a reason.

What do you think of the Hayes and Demartini mods?

I was waiting/dreading that question

i haven't spent enough time with the amp to really be able to say, plus given my history with amps that have mods on them. it takes me some time to really understand and appreciate the mods. i'll have a better answer in a month probably. so far, i've just plugged in direct, shuffled the eq a bit and then just played.

Just out of curiosity and Cheapness... How close do the Jet City 50 and 100 watt heads get to a real soldano? ive heard arguments both ways..
-mp-

A few guys around the forums who have owned a Soldano Hot Rod+ and a Jet City 50/100 will say they are about 95% the same in terms of tone. Do an "SLO" mod on those Jet City amps and it'll really come to life.

But to be honest, forget about what the Jet City amps sound like, and focus on how they sound (which is pretty damn good :D). I've owned my JCA100H for almost 3 years now and I absolutely love the thing. I did the "SLO" and depth mod on it about a month ago and I couldn't be happier.
