One trick is to turn the presence all the way up, then start with the treble at 0 and go up to taste. Mine were set that way, mids at 5 and bass at 7. Then the gain was at 5-7, and I boosted the mids with an eq pedal. Killer tone. Lead channel.

This is the same thing I do with my SLO. Presence dimed, bring treble up to taste, and I run a MXR 10 band in the loop to dial things in a bit further. It just does something very cool. Curious if you run your EQ thru the loop or out front. I couldn't get the same results with the MXR out front.
