Love it Jim! I have always loved orange colors for guitars. Looking forward to your first video with this bad boy.

Let's hope they accidentally ship it to my house, i'll give it a good quality control check. Not that suhr needs it. lol

I love the fact that they professionally photograph every guitar so you could always email them your serial and ask for stock photos.

They should come with the GG hard case but you can get the Suhr gig bag.

Are they still shipping these in soft cases?

You are referring to the off the rack Suhr Modern Pro models. This is a custom order, which means the buyer will more likely than not go for the hardshell case. But, even then...most shops will even give you the option for a GG hardshell case with a Pro for a upcharge.

up-charge?? On a $3k plus guitar? Very strange to me. Feels cheap in fact.

The Pro's come with soft case, about the nicest of any soft case I've ever seen. Any custom should be coming in a G&G Hardcase, but yes you do have the choice and it is a separate line item on the ordering form if I'm not mistaken.

$1000 ibbys/gibbons/fenders/g&l's etc all come with hard cases. There is no build quality difference between a custom order and an off the rack pro model, though that shouldn't even be a factor.

Tom Anderson charges for GG hard case too. I've never seen anyone opt for a TA gig bag. I'm all about the hard cases but I'm a home player. Hell I just bought soft cases for my handguns cause I hate lugging those big heavy things to the range.

I'm waiting for 2 Andersons and I opted for the hard gig bags on both. I saw A video that Jeff from world guitar in England posted on youtube. I figured if Anderson would ship their guitars overseas in one it must be a good bag. Called Roy and he said Tom only uses the bags for his personal guitars now so I decided to give them a try.

Well there you go. I loved the two Suhr gig bags I had.

My brother has a Conklin sidewinder 7 string that came in a hard case bag. If the bags Tom is using are anything like that its basically a hard case inside a gig bag but smaller overall and easier to carry.

The Suhr bag (soft case really) is not anything like the typical gig bag, really really nice stuff if you like the lighter weight and ease of loading plus it won't scratch up your car interior...I also like the thinner plastic cases that came with my Pro's at one time, also very light but hard plastic exterior. I have all 3 types they offer, soft case, plastic hard and G&G which is by far a lot heavier...they all work fine.

The Reunion Blues bags are off the charts good. Like you say a soft case that is a hard case. Not cheap though. They cost more than a hard case. I have an Aero and it's the best soft case I have owned.

AFAIK i got a hardshell case

For as much money and patience you put into this guitar you should get a hard shell case thrown in IMHO.

Sounds like you may want to check as that is an up-charge on your already $4k guitar.

That is one sick axe by the way.
