The DoD, US Navy and many others with greater knowledge and expertise in these areas than any of us here, would disagree with that.
One of the Navy's primary missions is to project power (aka intimidation). For every offense, there is / will be a countering defense.
Not only that, they will bring firepower closer to the other countries including our own hypersonic missiles. Very few countries have the capability to seriously threaten or attack the US Navy as long as politicians don't "tie their hands" like they did / do during most wars with overly restrictive "rules of engagement". Those countries that do have the capability to attack the US Navy are also well aware of the military capabilities above, beyond and behind a US Naval fleet.
The USA didn't become the world's biggest bully by accident; and we're not going to stop now.
