Picked this up at the weekend - a Gibson Explorer made in 1990. The white is yellowing nicely and it has some honest playwear - cool guitar. The previous owner replaced the black pickups rings and knobs with what you see here, which I really like. Great neck and a nice dark fingerboard too.

I’ve wanted one of these for a while, so I’m very happy to finally land one. It’s not heavy at all, but I am still getting my head around how big these things are - it makes my other guitars look tiny.

I had some friends that worked at Gibson when I lived in Michigan. I had the second prototype of this model about a year before they were made public. White

Easy the best guitar I have ever owned. Extremely percussive.

The one I have now I think was made in 1995. This one is the most resonant guitar I have ever played. Cherry

Congratulations awesome

Very nice. What pickups?
I’m not sure to be honest - they’re stock, so based on what I’ve read it’s a 496R in the neck and a 500T in the bridge. Whatever they are, they’re pretty punchy.
