Thanks guys, I'm really proud of this one! Yea it's way better than my 2013 I sold. It's crazy how different these Custom Shop guitars are. When I got my 2013 2 years ago I tried so hard to make than guitar play and sound good but no matter what pickups I put in it, it just didn't have any punch or that Les Paul sound. And the playability was always bad with fret buzz no matter how high action was. Even had Joe Glaser from Nashville set it up, but still just didn't play well.
I've played have played some Historics since then that were just unreal sounding and played like butter so thats why I put mine up for sale just a few weeks ago. I bet I have driven around 8 hours total to Gibson Custom Shop dealers in the last few weeks, but when I got to Willcutts I was blown away that most the 59' they had sounded better than most all the others I've played in stores, no exaggeration. And for the money (I'd never pay anywhere close to the regular prices) these guitars should all sound and play this good, but they really don't. It's a hunt and a long hard one for someone like me that knows how bad Gibson quality "can" be on a few.
Ok I'll stop bragging now but I'm just saying, for a 35yo musician that has owned lots of gear and guitars over the years... this is the first time in a very long time that I've woke up and felt like a kid on the day after Christmas thats stoked to play with exactly what he was wanting in a guitar, sound-wise and aesthetically.
