I've never played the Breed Neck

It's a very clear and robust sounding pickup. I like it.

Yeah, I had the Breed bridge for a while too; it was too polite and smooth indeed. Missed 'hair on its teeth'. This is what the Norton delivers.
Even the Andy Timmons signature AT-1 does it pretty well, albeit slightly thicker and warmer than the Norton, but definitely not vanilla/bland.

I love the Norton. Best (and funniest) description of the Norton I've found is the one I saw on the DiMarzio Forum:
