NGD: 84-85 Kramer Focus 1000

I'm not sure if this custom is bright or if it's because of the slanted placement. I'm thinking about doing the WD Forte prototype in here
That’s because as cool as those Focus can be, they didn’t use the best wood. I’ll bet that pickup rips in one of your other guitars.
I’ve had a few of those; bought for 2-300 tops solely to pirate the OFR. Put the FR1000 on it and re sold.

So, a few things after settling in for a few days. The guitar is very resonant in pretty sure that this one is alder. More research indicates late 1984. The pickup poles crews were up a bit and because the slant having the treble side closer to the bridge, it doesn't need to be closer to the strings than the bass side like in a normal setup. I brought the pole prices down and leveled the treble side with the bass side. That helped a lot. That said, the slant does slightly enhance the top end but I'm actually digging that. It screams but not brittle. i still think that I'll swap the pickup, either for my whiskey or new 14k similar wind
 
I believe most focus were alder.
Striker were plywood.
Most Beretta were maple, but not all.
