Extremely clean with original case. The pickup is a long legged MJ wound Duncan Custom.

The sad thing is that this was cheaper to get this from Guitar Center and shipped half way across the country overnight, than what local, ebay, and Reverb was selling at.

Nice guitar. People are delusional with what they think those are worth now. HNGD!
Really nice guitar.

Your correct that people are delusional with the prices they are asking on these.

The same thing has happened to the old Charvel “model” series along with the 375/475’s. Great old guitars, but not for 1k+.
???

These are pretty solid guitars and this one is really clean for 38-39 years old

Sexy! Looks like mine except for the slanted pup. Make sure there’s no tone sucking capacitors in it.

Had a white one back around 1991. Someone had routed a neck Bucker (EMG’s) into it, and put a big old Buckwheat sticker on the armrest. Great guitars - quite heavy!! Lotsa maple I think?

I have 4 Focus 1000 guitars.
2 red ones a blue one and a black one.
I love them.
First thing I do is change the pickups.
Accept one came with an 80's mj wound jb.
I left that one.

found a mint 86 focus 3000 semi local......great price according to the interwebz....lol...

The headstock on the focus is similar to gibson explorers.
The barettas had a wider headstock and the early ones were not slanted.
I also believe there is a slight difference in the baretta vs focus bodies.
