Not sure about fair but less than that used....that’s new pricing

For example these Sweetwater GT11s both Strat and Tele are a couple of the best playing guitars I’ve run across in years. The relic thing puts me way off but the necks are to die for. JDub has had a Tele and two Strats and their unreal. He might be selling a Strat version too:

Thanks, not sure how I feel about the relic thing but I love the darker necks too. And the white blonde is sweet, I like to see wood grain.

I'm a Gibson guy, but got a line on this guitar used, was just trying to see what a decent offer would be for me to make. I had a shop offer me $4k on Reverb for one of the new ones 6 months ago (so 15% off), but I wasn't fully in the market then. Figure used should be below that, but not sure how much.

Yeah the relic thing is a deal breaker for me but OM F’ing G those necks are just nuts....I’m guessing the $3300 - 3500 range for the guitar you posted, it is sweet

Also I missed that the link you posted was for a new guitar, price is same as SW

That's right about what they are asking, so anything I can negotiate is gravy.

Yeah I just posted that as a reference on a new one, that's not the guitar I am looking at buying, but exact same model ect.

I had a CS Wildwood 10 Strat that I paid 4K + for and ended up selling it for $2800.00

That’s just me though. Most guys seem to ask about $3200.00 average.

Haven't even played it yet, stuck at office but figured I'd show a few quick pics

Wow that thing is a beauty! Time congratulations love that neck is it chunky?

Really nice. I love everything about that.
Let’s hear your thoughts when you’ve spent some time with it.

The thick neck is nice and it slides like butter with the gloss finish rubbed off to a satin feel. Guitar feels great, balances well. Ergonomically it feels like home and its not overly different from my Les Paul's sitting on a stool or ottoman (strats never balance well for me sitting down). Obviously its much lighter when standing up.

So feels similar but man is it different tone wise. I knew it would be different but didn't realize how much different. I've seen people play many a Les Paul song on a Tele, but they must completely reset the amp or something. Bridge pick up with the volume and tone on 10 with my amp unchanged was way too bright. Really need to roll that tone knob down or go to neck pickup.

It's also much quieter. Need to turn the Amp master volume up to get the same DBs as when the LP was plugged in. That's not a positive or negative just an observation.

Any tricks of the trade for the Tele are much appreciated for a guy that's really only played LPs.

Lower output pick ups. Won't drive the amp as hard as your Les Paul. Get that amp loud enough to drive, volume on 10, tone on 8, bridge pick up. Bask in all your rock n roll glory.

Thanks. I took it to my local shop and had a Tele guy run it through its paces. They were all super impressed with the guitar.

The tele guy had similar advice, reset the amp settings and turn the tone down more than you normally would on a Les Paul. I am pretty treble sensitive so 6 is actually working for me so far. He said many Tele guys use a compressor pedal too.

He also noted he rarely lives on the bridge at home or in studio, more for cutting through the mix. But I don't think he plays a lot of heavy stuff. I was able to get good bridge sounds through my VH2 after trimming top end EQ, but again needed tone rolled back almost half way (6).

I am just so used to running my Les Paul's tone on 9-10 mostly. I was worried I got an overly bright Tele, but nope just the difference in a Tele and a Les Paul.

Beautiful guitar!

Im not sure you want to mess with it at all but if you do,.... Dimarzio makes a Tone Zone T that will drop right in. It will take away 'some' of the tele-ness, but your amp settings won't need adjusting and the volume match with your LP's will be there.

Very good to know in the future. Not sure I want to mess with it right away but I do like what you're saying.
