Ah, that's a transmission 50 I bought from Caleb a few years ago. He actually did a few updates to it a year or two ago as well. Amazingly nice dude. Build quality is very very good inside.

Tone-wise, there's a lot of gain and midrange. Definitely some Marshall in the DNA, but I'm fairly certain no diodes just a lot of stages cascaded. Fairly lean in the bass though I'm sure the 50 watt accentuates this and as a result it excels at lower-tuned stuff. Nobody asked, but the clean channel is also glorious. I have thought about putting a variable negative feedback or contour knob in there as I think the negative feedback is on the higher side.

I think Caleb is still building them but just have job/family/life going on. I've thought about trading up to a 100 watt at some point -- I always end up wanting 100 watt everything, but it's a sweet head on it's own.

It's definitely not a JAMES TYLER that's for sure but it does look like a pretty sweet axe.

Why not? It makes them look more like authentic coffee tables with the natural finish. I actually like it.

Because I prefer guitars to look like guitars not furniture, same reason I think lots of PRS look ridiculous

Korina is alright, but diarrhea-burst and clownburst guitars make me want to jump off a cliff

Do like a telecaster in blonde, though.
My daughter has a Hagstrom RD thing (Ghost signature?) in white that's actually really nice.
Was on par with a balaguer we were also looking at, imo.

I gotta admit I was thinking about you and your clip on tuner love at Harley Davidson yesterday. I tried to hide the Peterson behind the headstock but it didn't work.
