I am pretty fired up. Anyone have or play one of these? It arrived in a few minutes.

This has the HF1+ and the SF1 single could. What do you guys who have played these pickups think? My favorite Humbucker I’ve played recently is the steckel candy pickup. Is this similar at all? Is it tight? Articulate?

Added pics, my camera is getting pretty messed up. But, guys wanted to see more pics so here you go.

The guitar is absolutely phenomenal. Definitely one of the better super strats I’ve played. The neck is so fast, smooth, slick and just really fun to play.


Waiting on a pedal board and I have not plugged in yet, I am waiting to plug it all in at once and experience the glorious tones and experience. But it’s very fun to play.

The fretboard is nice and dark, pretty uniform. Just great all around. Pleased with this acquisition.

I prefer these over the Suhrs. I have had 6 Anderson Angels. 4 Regular and 2guardian Angels. All great but one was super great tonally. Should have kept it. That one had a Gotoh 510 but so did one of my other ones and that one just stood out. Great guitars!
 
HNGD! I haven't played that particular pickup, but it's going to be fairy low output. It's basically a higher output neck pickup.
 
It doesn't get much better than that.i definitely Iove my angel. Just a fantastic guitar all around.Mine has h'-3's so i cant speak for your pickups,but honestly tom doesnt make a bad pickup.
 
Awesome guitar, congrats!!

As far as Tom Anderson pickups, I love them. I have them in a ton of my guitars. The HF3 and HF3+ are awesome in the bridge, powerful but yet still good and nuisanced, not just power/aggression. The H3 and H3+ are similar but more bass. Depends on what you like. I have about 18 guitars right now and I’d say I have TA pickups in about 10 guitars.

I ordered a Skervesen 4AP build that took over a year. I bought a set of TA HF3+ and HF1 pickups, shipped them to Skervesen in Poland and had them installed in the build. Love em.
