What can I say, I loved the first one and got a stupid good deal on the second one. So, now I have the neon pink and the rocket red

Well, now you're hooked. All you need is to find a used USA Charvel to complete your collection. They can be found for 6-900.

Congrats!

I owned a custom shop, just needed a neck humbucker though

Love these guitars, I have a neon yellow one and will probably be picking up a white one soon

They're a great guitar for that price for sure at $598.00

Hey Scottosan what did you think of the EVH with the Basswood body? Just curious? Do you still have it?

Whatever Alder Charvel is using for this run of Pro Mod San Dimas is killer very resonant and acoustically loud, along with the coil splitting features I am glad I picked mine up...

Are the necks on the newer Sand Dimas models similar to the older Charvels?

i loved the playability of the EVH. The only reason I sold that at the Custom Shop is that I like to split between neck and bridge for cleans. I picked this one up new at a local shop for $550 and they even threw in a padded Charvel gig bag. I even picked up one of the tall EVH striped stools for another $50 as a package deal. People are broke in January and they want Money for NAMM.

As for the Alder, I couldn’t agree more. Some of the most resonant I’ve played. I’m going to pick up the neon yellow and the slime most likely if they stay at this price. We’ll see what new for 2018. If they have some cool colors in the teles a may get one.

These are supposed to be different. Not significant, but many people like the necks on these better.

The crazy thing is that I’ve already had to adjust my roasted maple neck but not the Charvel

Definitely have to see what they roll out in a few weeks at the NAMM show. I had an older Japan version, but will ahve to check these newer models out. I like the looks of the burst models with the maple top from last year.

Charvel makes a great guitar. I’m still thinking about selling off another cutsom shop and get down to one or two guitars.

totally bitchin man!! one of my biggest guitar regrets was letting go of an amazing white charvel custom shop. great guitars. psychodave has had some AMAZING charvels, same with racerxrated.

Maple Board Charvel->Jose type Amp->cab with G12H30s = tone that makes the front of my pants tight :inlove:

Sweet pair, you definitely need the green one to round it out :)

great looking pair! Ive been gassing hard for another Charvel and have one incoming myself. Scored a music zoo custom shop nitro series( non relic) in sparkle blue! Cant wait for it to arrive

Dave, what pickups pair well with the Charvel/Jose mix?

Dave usually runs a old 80's Duncan Distortion(16K ohms) in that white Charvel of his. I also recommend a Duncan Custom(14K ohms) which has a little less mid bump to it, much like a PAF on steriods as Seymour describes it. My absolute favorite pickup is the old Seymourizer II which was 12K, this became the neck pickup for the Duncan Distortion SH6N, great pickup, ballsy aggressive tone without the mid bump that the Distortion has due to the overwinding.
