NGD - Blue Voodoo #2 & G12-65 Loaded Ampeg Cab

If you ever come across a Blue Voodoo BV150H for cheep, nab it. 150w tube head, I had one 20ish years ago, it was brutal.

Those Splawn clips sound killer! I'd rock that cab as is. A birch box is a birch box.

SO, I went home and put a couple amps through the cab, since I've been reading that these speakers require some power to come alive.

I get it now. They actually sound great. They're not as tight as a v30 or K100, but they don't sound flubby with some serious volume on them.

Recorded these with an SM57 and I personally think they sound great! Using my same demo riff from the other thread

Came in here to congratulate you on another Voodoo and came across this. Yeah, I'd just leave the cab as is. No sense taking a chance on anything. I am assuming you got it and the amp pretty cheap. If those are anything like Small Blocks (higher powered Greenbacks) then I'd keep too.

Man, I would NOT let that cab or speakers go. Sounds good with the Marshall and Bogner and even better with the Splawns.
