NGD: Bought a beater Les Paul Studio and fixed her up.

Kinda neat, I bought a kinda beat Gibson Les Paul Studio from Jerry here on the forum. It had a real cool yellow patina to it. I put .12's on it, set it up to be tuned down a whole step, Added Cream EMG 81 & 85, EMG Afterburner and a black pickguard.

Man this is my Black Sabbath heavy guitar for the time being. Sounds great, less than $1000 in it and I can leave it at the gig and not worry. Not every guitar needs to be some flamed out $$$ dollar monument to be cool.

Amen to that. Some of the coolest axes out there are beater/workhorses.

A mid-90's Les Paul Studio. Great guitars! I have one myself. Would never let it go and I have let go much "nicer" Les Pauls and kept that one. Nice guitar Brad.
