So after a bit of searching over a week ago for a les paul, or maybe a les paul MIJ copy, i found this,

since i got a lot of good feedback on the guitar, and tracked down a killer deal, bought it there and then
(450 euros..), the guy was a lefty but had bought up an old studio's stock of equipment and was slowly selling it off, the guitar was in great condition, hardly played in it's case, with a few tiny scuffs but that's it

had no pickguard so i put one on as for some reason i preferred the look, topwrapped the thing, and been playing it ever since

the neck is frikkin huge, baseball bat territory, but the tone is strong with this one, great sustain and squeals , a chunky/meaty sound, crunch/riffs are brilliant, the neck pickup is fantastic as well very warm/round PAF style LP tone, i must say after hearing the aldrich bridge pickups on another vid here i've been quite tempted =0 but there's something about these stock pickups that just scream

i feel almost obliged to play john sykes stuff everytime i plug in the OD channel heh

the deal i got along with the condition of the guitar have made me one happy camper

thx =0 , killer guitar for the price , it's made me curious as to how other MIJ les pauls sound/play

Most MIJ LPS coming from the Tokai and Fujigen plants are awesome, this includes older Burnys. Actually I've played a Burny Sykes model this weekend (early 80s), which was very nice, although I have to admit that I myself prefer those LPCs with an ebony board (I have three MIJ LPCs w/ebony).
If you should be infected, there's a super nice Fujigen/Epiphone LPC90 sold by Ishibashi on ebay now. It is a RI of the '57 LPC with a pretty huge neck, all mahogany - and those things are easily on the level of today's Custom Shop IMO.

don't give me GAS :P

i was on the Krampe amplification site the other day btw, the N&B amp sounds really really nice, some great little amps you've got going there

That looks awesome! If I could find one like that I would buy it. Congratulations!

thx =0 the deal was killer , i guess spamming google in the various countries (.co.uk...de , .fr etc..) sometimes pays off

I have an 89' Epiphone Custom LP which is actually korea made but with a Headstock more like the Gibson and a very well made guitar. I have had a Bacchus LP in the past, I love the good quallity knock off LP's, they are a bargain!
