NGD: Custom Switchback Country Boy! w/ Video!

Hey guys, so I got a new guitar! I custom ordered this one from Mike at Switchback Guitarworks. It's his Country Boy model, but with a modern twist. I absolutely love it! I got to choose all the hardware, appointments, finish, wood, color, inlay, pickup config, all with no up-charge. He emailed me weekly with progress reports and pictures of the process.






Oh yeah, curly maple neck!


I chose an aged white blonde nitro finish.


This is a handmade instrument that is as good as anything I have every tried or owned. Oh yeah, I paid $1150 shipped to my door, in the nicest G&G case I've ever seen. A friggin' steal! I can finally afford a legit handmade instrument. That's saying something, since I do music for a livin'.

Fantastic demo Cameron! Really showcases the variety of tones and your great playing as well. Not the typical music you'd typically hear on a demo of a T-style guitar (in a good way)

I'm still in honeymoon bliss with my Switchback. Totally feel the same that I got a boutique level guit at a steal of a price.

Great vid and that is a beautiful guitar!!!!! Mike builds a killer neck doesn't he? Loved the playing. Congrats on the sweet guitar.

I've been talking with Mike recently and going to have do a build for me soon. He use to be Ratter here on Rig-Talk but don't think he posts here much anymore. He posts some of his work over on the gear page and keeps his facebook update with new photos and builds. You posting this is what got me interested in his work, thanks!

Awesome! Mike is the man for sure! Tell him you saw my vid! I've got another guitar in the works with him. He is truly a top notch builder.
 
Mike is good people and you better believe he cares about building the best guitar he can. I think Mike's necks are as good as they come
