NGD-ESP Eclipse

GAS is a bitch. I got it into my head that I needed another Eclipse...local dude texted me this morning offering me this and I had to take it.





Standard specs: EMG 81-60s, Sperzels, Dunlop Straploks and some MIJ goodness. I missed having one.....set it up in drop C, and it's just crushing...EMGs are tight and compressed, and I slammed it through a bomb 5150 patch in JamUp and the FX loop of the DSL40. It's so tight and brutal that I really don't think I should ever be without one of these again, and it sustained a single note for 49 seconds. With the Short GT for blues/hard rock and this for metal and drop tunings, I'm covered for a minute. Still need a Viper though...

I didn't really want ebony again; it seems like every guitar I have has an ebony board, but the 'no shipping' and the price made it tough to resist. I'm gonna black it out eventually....the gold is not something I dig so much, but a friend already wants the hardware for his MIJ Suntech so at least it's not going to sit in the parts drawer forever. Nothing hugely special, except for the fact that it's a monster of a solid guitar....ESP just does really well with these.

I had an Eclipse exactly like this one back in 07'. I can't remember why I sold it. Your right about it being a fantastic guitar. I've been debating getting another one. My dilemma is...I could throw another 1k in and get a really sweet LPC. Congrats on the Eclipse.

Thanks guys. I already have a really sweet LP, so this was a no brainer. I'm gonna keep one around for awhile; seemed like it took forever to find another one but in reality it was only a week.
