Looks great. I like the gold on very few guitars but on a Les Paul Custom, it seems to fit. But I'm sure anything will look good on it, they are such classy guitars.

I think gold only looks good to provide contrast against darker colors because it gives the eye something to grab on to. (Example: gold looks good against black or a deep dark blue or wine red.)

Go nickle or chrome. Just seems a bit more consistent across the board since white can be bright.

Better yet, pull a whiteout. Make everything white: hardware, pickups, pickup rings, etc. Haha.

On that guitar, I go gold all the way and I'm not a fan of gold hardware either. It just looks "right" on that color LP... It'll fade over time anyway with a little sweat...

Randy had gold, but he wasn't in sabbath

Cripes, is this really a question

The gold like fine.

Go for the gold.

Gorgeous LP.

Distress and rubbed out all gold parts on an '09 black custom. Looked good but doubt I'll do it on the '57 TH Black Beauty.

Gold looks best in this case to me as well, but since you said you don't care for it, another alternative vote for black ahead of the nickel/chrome look (it will pop more in a good way).

I'm not a fan of gold hardware because it's much more difficult to care for when you gig a lot. That said, my "No. 1" gigging guitar has gold hardware (and it looks like crap)...I'm much more about function over form.
Either looks great on that guitar...no bad decision to be made.

Gold on black beauties and alpine white LPC's. I prefer the aged gold on pu covers vs the super shiny

I definitely prefer the nickel, but gold just belongs on that guitar. Follow your heart, Reza. Lol

I get it...

I'm gonna try the nickel.
Good choice.

Gold, nickle, black, whatev...that's a honey of a looker, and congrats on getting it

I love white Customs. Gold is fine--but so is nickle on that guitar. What is the neck shape and guitar's weight? Fat necks and 11 lb guitars are the two things that keep me from owning one these days
