Patrick was kind enough to tease the hell out of me and post a short video of the guitar after being strung up to my preferred tuning... the clarity and sustain is unbelievable... the guitar almost sounds like an acoustic...

Hey guys... don't actually have the guitar in my possession yet, it's finishing up though and Patrick is letting everything settle in before he ships it out to me...

If anyone has any questions about Hufschmid Guitars please feel free to PM me, and I will answer any and all questions, Patrick is an incredible luthier, and I definitely wanted to share some of the progress pictures, and show off his incredible work, the man is an incredible artist...

Some Specs:

200 year old Flamed and Spalted Maple Top
Sapelli Mahogany Body
Mahogany Neck
Ebony Fingerboard
Ken Armstrong Custom Pickups
Hipshot Bridge
Sperzel Tuners
12" Fretboard Radius
Luminlay Side Dots
Plenty more I could go on about but that's enough for now....

Some pictures in order of progress:

Very wise choice man! They are great guitars... and given that you are in Australia and you said they are so hard to come by... probably by far the best decision to just keep it brother

he makes some awesome guitars. I'd love for him to make me a nice super strat or PRS-esque body with the tone of a lester nice thick tone bell like 13 lb's you know like a Louisville slugger. I love the woods he uses. Quality seems top notch as well.

Wow... I gotta say, I think one of my fave style threads on this forum is the "progress shots of a guitar being built". This is no exception. Beautiful looking guitar...seriously seriously beautiful.

Nicely done!!

Thanks for the nice words everyone.... I beyond excited... at this point I'm basically out of words to explain my excitement... should have her in my hands in a couple weeks... this was actually a birthday present to myself this year since I did well...

Glad you guys are diggin' it... I have tons more photos of the build process but I posted a lot of the good ones... and like I said when she get's here I'll do a full video...

Also going to post a video of my Axe rig here pretty soon...

Amazing. I appreciate his style and craftsmanship. The emblem kicks a lot of ass. It's like an amulet for a guitar.

Beautiful work, congrats on one fine hand built instrument.

I've had the absolute pleasure of playing one of these guitars and definitely wish i could have bought it. One of the best!!!

Really pleased for you Kit
