I had no idea that ordering a guitar that mimics ones built in 1979-1980 would require having a degree from MIT, how many options can one have to play badly on?
Thanks for all of the guidance Curt, you really are worthy of being labelled "A Baird Man" You made it as easy as getting laid in the Philippines designing my last guitar, the one that captures everything I have wanted and lusted for after looking at Charvels since the early 80s. It was an exciting time back then when super strats were just coming out and watching one company raise the bar another notch during NAMM reveals. Ah the look on the Kramer guys faces when the JEM was dropped in 1987. I used to cruise Brians Guitars in New Haven, now Sam Ash, where they sold Jackson and Charvel and never had the cash for any of them. Back then you could score a cord worth of shitbox tugboat playing les pauls for little more than a weeks work as a fry cook at Stuckies.
I must be leaving now, I have 2-3 weeks left before I have to pull the boat for the winter and have 140 gallons of fuel to burn and fish to catch. It was great speaking with you throughout the process, no way would I buy a guitar of this type from anyone else. It was like buying a Ferrari as I was led into a comfortable room smelling of leather and Johnnie Walker Blue having long legged Italian beauties handing me samples of virgin male cow leather....female cows have stretch marks duh.......while inhaling Cuban portofinos using Connecticut wraps. Caesar salad made table side while drinking a nice Mondavi blend with Pellegrino water to cleanse the pallet.
