Yes, they are screwed into bushings. I have to say, I have bought new guitars with German Floyd's and have had some of the Floyd's work nice, and others that were definitely made on a Friday, with bad threads on the fine tuners, bent fine tuners, and most with a lot of 'play' in the bar even with the collar tightened down, the arm is loose and can move a got half inch at the bar end without moving the trem at all. This guitar has the tightest and smoothest Floyd I have ever had. No play in the bar. Everything works 'right' as it should.
I'm loving this guitar man.
Here are a few more pix. You can see the flake in the paint is pretty intense with the right lighting. Also, the top edge of the headstock is not cut at a 90 degree angle,,,,more like 110 degrees. Kinda cool and different from my soloist. Also, the maple fretboard on this think is thick as hell! See bottom pic as well.
Very cool, love the maple neck and red finish. I was in Biloxi, MS last year at the Hard Rock, and saw the original one which I wasn't expecting (it was by a Starbucks kiosk )

Wow! Looks like when Steve dropped it on the floor at the end of the crossroads scene, it cracked the body!? Very cool piece of cineguitastic greatness!
