In my quest for 24.75" Super Strat guitars I was "watching" this guitar on Reverb. It was listed around $700, but the guy kept reducing it. He reduced it to $495 with $35 shipping so I snagged it. It is a little beat up, hard to see in the picks after I polished it, but there are many dings and scratches but none through the paint.
The tremolo was a little jacked up on the high E string, the screw to lock the string down was replaced with a screw (see pick). When I took apart and cleaned it and gave it a setup, the screw would not lock down tight, it was stripped. Luckily I still had my old tremolo in a drawer from my very first guitar, a 1987 Ibanez RG. So I just swapped out the Floyd and it is all good. The guys said he does a full setup and cleaning, but the shit I got off the fretboard turned my towel black...anyway.
It came with a set of Fleor pickups that pulled out and threw a set of Seymour Duncan Black Winters in it. The action is great, neck is perfect. Sounds massive and plays really great. These old early 90's MIJ Jacksons are hard to beat, I think this one was just for the Japan market when it came out.
It feels and plays like the Charvel Fusion Custom I got a few weeks ago, both are even blue. Only difference if the Charvel being HSS and the Jackson is HH really.
And the Charvel for comparison:
