So, this is my first Tyler. I got it in a trade. The guy I got it from had a few Tylers and let me choose between the Classic I got and 2 Studio Elites. So, this has the 59 neck profile and it feels great. It fits your hand nicely, and if you are a shredder, it does not impede it. I really, really like the bridge pickup, the hot retro. This guitar sounds HUGE, I cant believe a super strat can sound so big. Really thick and fat tones, yet it remains defined and articulate. I was very surprised with the tones coming out of this guitar. Usually I am not a fan of the relic'd guitar craze that is occurring, but on this guitar I can deal with it. This guitar plays effortlessly and the action isn't really low, but even though it is higher than I usually play it, it still feels awesome. I wondered for a long time about why Tyler guitars were so expensive. So, I figured I would finally check out what they are all about. Well, this guitar is incredible. It sounds incredible, the Tyler bridge Hot Retro model is a great pickup and the middle and neck single coils are also great sounding pickups. The tuning stability is solid, after playing for an hour and a half, only the high e string was a TINY bit out of tune. I put new strings on when I got it and usually they take a little playing to get stretched out. For a while now I have been playing and prefer a wider flat fret board. That is the only thing that took a little getting used to on this guitar. It didn't take long, and after I adjusted it felt great. I would prefer the neck to be a tiny bit wider with a little larger radius, but besides that, this guitar is epic. Now I know why the hype is all about. James Tyler guitars are definitely in rare air. Very FEW super strats I have played/owned can hang with this guitar. IU know some people hate the Tyler headstock, but I don't mind it. For this tone and playability, I can easily deal with that headstock and the relic'd look. Plus, its red, and I usually am no fan of red guitars, but my curiosity over powered my dislike of red. Definitely a very nice guitar. By far, the fattest sounding super strat I have played.
-forgot to say, this guitar sustains for a really long time. this guitar with its hot retro bridge pickup through my Friedman sustains forever and then fades into a slight feedback that sounds beautiful.
