NGD! Japanese built Jackson RR24 "Mistake" model

Hey all! Got a really good deal on the old RR24 with bound neck and reverse sharkies. I bought one when they were first release back in like 2006/7 or whenever that was. Ended up having to off it to cover some expenses at the time. Been looking for another for ages that was in good repair AND priced to sell. Low and behold by happenstance I found exactly what I was looking for!

Wondering if anyone has or remembers the spec's on these Japanese runs.

So thankful to have this guy. Also, I can not BELIEVE all the "points" are fully in tact. Headstock and both wings.

The only downside is my wife gave me 2 options:
• This could be my Xmas gift
• If my Gibson sells, pay this off and get all the more Xmas gifts!

So unless the Gibson sells, when she gets back Sunday night, this will get boxed up, gift wrapped and sit in a corner for me to lament over for 6 weeks! LOL!

Also, does anyone have the right details on this? I remember there being some noise about Jackson saying it was a mistake and shouldn't have binding, yada yada. I always thought it was a soft "FU" around the Alexi Sig model. Anyway, glad to own another nice Jackson. It may not be a USA model but these Japanese builds are fantastic and it feels every bit as good as my RR1 did.

Thanks man! I will enjoy the SH*T out of it! The RR is my all-time favorite body shape. Glad I was able to get this for such a good price. My wife said she'd rather get me this for Xmas and know it's something I actually want instead of cologne and whatnot.

Huge congrats!! I've had a number of the MIJ RR24's, and that Alexi spec'd one was always my favorite because of the binding and reverse sharks. That is in fantastic condition, rarely see the horn edges so clean. Mistake, limited edition of 75, who knows...but I suspect Jackson knew exactly the audience for this.

Should be alder body, maple neck with ebony board, Korean OFR, EMG 81.

Enjoy! Don't sell that one, it's a beauty!

Oh man this guitar got EVERYTHING right... but I’ll probably swap the 81 for a Fishman Modern or EMG 57. And no... this one isn’t going anywhere!

Thanks bro! It was total happenstance. I joined a Jackson/Charvel group on FB as I was trying to find out about getting a crackle paint job for my Warlock, ended up posting that I missed my old RR24 and someone mentioned there was one for trade.

2 days later, I’m the proud owner. No trade though. Just bought it outright.
