i always have a hard to taking pics of this guitar, usually comes out too dark and you cant see the flame or its too light and looks a weird color.

I had to switch to the het-set though. Only thing I'd change is the gloss finish -- I have a satin neck on my other KL, as I imagine you do on this new one. Improves the playability a ton.

For some reason i always forget who i sold this guitar to and when i see your name i think how the hell did i forget that. Nice to see your still playing it. That guitar sounded nice. I never had a chance to try the hetset with it. I wished i did the oil finish on your guitar instead of the poly, at that time i was playing my black KL alot and really liked the finish on it and didnt wanna change it.

My new guitar doesnt have gloss and the black dragon is getting sent back to remove the gloss and do the oil finish, i really should have sent it back 2 weeks ago. The feel is so much nicer and i also think it will sound even better.

Heres a couple pics i took outside.

I appreciate the nice compliments, thanks.

I was bored yesterday at work and figured i would show a few guitars that i didnt make NGD threads.
I dont really like doing those threads anymore but theres certain guitars that some people might like to see.

Man, what fine Explorer specimens you have there
Very nice

Always nice to see your NGDs man. Dont stop them coming :D Amazing guitars, simply beautiful !!!

I know what you mean. I still have my JH-3 and have had some great offers to sell but just can't let it go. It was my dream guitar also and still love it to this day even though my ESP's don't get the playing time they use to.
jh-3 is awesome, i want sell that one either. it sounds great and its full thickness and thats another reason i love it.
do you still have the kelly hayes? that was another cool esp.

Yeah, still have the Kelly Hayes also. It's another that I really don't see myself selling.

Do have a couple of ESP's I've thought of letting go but just haven't decided or got around to it. My ESP 4 knob/long horn Eclipse and my ESP Grey Truckster.

Do you still have all your KL's? I've always thought of getting one but don't think I could handle the wait time. Is Ken's backlog still 2-3 years?
I only have 2 KL's out of the 5.
i sold the cocobolo that i got from ansley to tonemonster, i sold the red olive ash burl to another forum member but cant remember the name right now, and my trans black with no inlay went to stevek who sold it and it switched hands a few times.

so i have my new chechen and the trans black dragon that brian owned and sold to ronni who sold it to stevek who sold it to me, that guitar has been in cali, norway, saudi arbia and now on the east coast with me haha.

That's cool! Those 2 look really amazing!! I've always been a fan of the KL/Hetfield "flaming sun" inlay also. I like the gear looking inlay the one guy on the ESP forum had done also. Think it was "SYL" or something like that.

Use to really enjoy the ESP forum. To bad they have completely destroyed it now.

SYL is brain, i think he ordered 3 or 4 KL and picked them all up at the same time.
The black limba with ninja star inlays might be the one your thinking of.
He was the original owner of my dragon, he was a cool guy but i dont know if hes on the forums anymore.

The esp board is a joke these days.

Ken wont do the flaming sun inlay anymore, i tried to order one 18 months ago. he said james asked him not to do it. Ken told me hes working on doing a different type of flaming sun. Im bummed i didnt buy seans on the espboard, it looked awesome. He sold it to ronni in norway who had it for a while and then sold it.

Nice one dude.
Love his Guitars.I always wanted to know how the neck on these guitars is.Is it more like the old ESP MX250 or like the Snakebyte?

Super nuts, dude. That Black Dragon is even crazier - one of the most metal guitars I've seen.
