I never post about new gear but because these are so new I thought I’d post.
So right out of the box the actions a little high. I spent an hour or so setting it up but the nut is a tad high but the neck and Floyd fell right in place.
It feels and plays pretty damn nice.
Finish is perfect other than the baby blue poka dots lol.
Top mount Floyd 1000 sits higher off the body than my charvels so you can actually do trem pulls. holds it tune but a brass block could improve it.
Two Duncan JB’s Would rather have a neck pickup than a middle but this is to original specs.
Ebony board is of course smooth.
Radius is nice. Seems like maybe a 14ish all the way down the neck.
Frets are a jumbo but a little thinner than a charvel/Ibanez jumbo.
No sharp points or any overhang. Which surprised the hell out of me since it’s made in Indonesia.

In today’s day and age $899 isn’t high end when it comes to guitars. It’s not even middle ground anymore. Ibanez is junk at this price point and charvels (which I love) are hit or miss (a lot of misses
Nowadays) but this Kramer isn’t bad. Fit and finish is right where you’d hope it would be.

Damn when these things get released?!
I had 5 of the originals.

Damn. Just looked em up.
The Nightswan was one of my all time favorite axes!!

Well for $999, the Ibanez RG550 Genesis imo is one of the best bangs for the buck. Made in Japan, I brought brand new last january. One year later, still love it!

The charvels like you said, hit or miss. I brought one in June, frets were uneven and buzz everywhere. The arm on the 1000 series sucks as usual, changed that out as well. I did the fret work myself amd it solved the issue, but still, the fact that they let it out like that was ridiculous. I'd take my RG550 anyday.

On top of that, it has the original edge tremolo. No play in the arm, and keeps in tune. Also imo, the edge outshines the FR.
Hopefully your Kramer holds up well! Great looking guitar.0

I have a orginal nightswan, I checked out the new ones, while I think they are nice. I prefer the neck on the old ones much more

Well yea of course but you can't order one of those from Sweetwater for 899. Hoping they are going to offer some other colors.

The blaze lighting bolt one was my favorite.
Had the aztec. Blue sparkle. Polka dot.
Red sparkle. Black.
Loved them guitars.
Might grab one of these.

Very cool! I bet aside from the neck shape, these new ones are made better than the thrown together old Kramers!

A good friend of mine had an original black nightswan...

Damm that was the narrower nut I have ever played... I think it was 40. something...near impossible for my big hands( I like em wide and fatty).

I really liked the jb as middle pickup...

Buddy Blaze is doing an anniversary run of this guitar. Hes in Grapevine Texas.
