I never post about new gear but because these are so new I thought I’d post.
So right out of the box the actions a little high. I spent an hour or so setting it up but the nut is a tad high but the neck and Floyd fell right in place.
It feels and plays pretty damn nice.
Finish is perfect other than the baby blue poka dots lol.
Top mount Floyd 1000 sits higher off the body than my charvels so you can actually do trem pulls. holds it tune but a brass block could improve it.
Two Duncan JB’s Would rather have a neck pickup than a middle but this is to original specs.
Ebony board is of course smooth.
Radius is nice. Seems like maybe a 14ish all the way down the neck.
Frets are a jumbo but a little thinner than a charvel/Ibanez jumbo.
No sharp points or any overhang. Which surprised the hell out of me since it’s made in Indonesia.
In today’s day and age $899 isn’t high end when it comes to guitars. It’s not even middle ground anymore. Ibanez is junk at this price point and charvels (which I love) are hit or miss (a lot of misses
Nowadays) but this Kramer isn’t bad. Fit and finish is right where you’d hope it would be.
