I have wanted a Les Paul Jr for as long as I can remember. They have always appealed to me as the simplest form of a bare bones rock n roll guitar. Plug in. Grip it and rip it. I've been watching the guitar below for about two years now at a local Guitar Center. It's a 2010 model with a nice two piece body with a nice striped rosewood board. I would always play it whenever I was in the store. Patently waiting for them to get a burst model in. Well fast forward to last night. I walk in that it is on clearance from $899 to $400. I didn't hesitate. Got it home, changed the string and did a quick setup and now it plays like butter. So happy to add a Jr to my slowly growing Les Paul collection.

Dude, $400 for that is a NO brainer - great deal!!! There really is nothing like a LP Jr. Nothing to hide behind. Just pure rock and roll.

1. Those faded models DO buff out relatively nicely to a semi-glossy finish, if you choose to do that. I did that to my 05 Faded LP DC. Looked really great.

2. The Tonepros wraparound adjustable AVTII bridge is a very worthwhile upgrade. I put that on my Billie Joe Armstrong Jr, and it truly does make it feel more solid and gutsy. Keep your eyes peeled for a good deal on one of those.

I WANT THAT GUITAR!!! Ive been on the hunt for a Jr for a while now . I keep hoping to find one of those deals in a GC but thus far , its been a bust

Congrats! I know you've wanted one ever since I've known you. Play it in good health!

These guitars are so RnR. However experience tells me I gotta have a neck pickup!

I had my tele setup like an Esquire for a couple of years... So I don't think the lack of a neck pickup will be an issue. Roll the tone to 5 and its close enough for rock n roll. :)

Got to play the Jr last night at practice. Man, what a killer little guitar. Tone and attitude for days! This will be a fun live guitar. :)

Wow, great deal. A guitar with p90s is on my list to get a some point....
