@psychodave would know for sure as they were really good friends. It’s actually a sad story for those that do know. I won’t be parting with this amp. Other members have begged Nick to make more copies of it.
If you're referring to the 'Nick mod' that only Nick K knows, mix of an Aldrich with an Uberschall, he's open for business. Copy of a particularly aggressive Aldrich Cameron did. He did one for me last summer; Beyond Black had one done too.
Unless this is a different circuit.

This isn’t a Nick mod.

Deoxit is kinda shit. I think most techs don't like that stuff as it leaves an oily residue.

Hmm, haven’t heard that one? I also have contact cleaner.
But, if the shop I bought it from weren’t so lazy they could have sold it for 3X what I paid.

Your Aldrich wasn’t done by Nick?
My Aldrich was done by Nick yes however it’s not his circuit. From Nick It’s a blueprint 1 for 1 copy of a Cameron aldrich that was originally created by Cameron for an artist which Nick had in his possession for a bit. Nick requested after I got the amp that it not be cloned or given out so I’m respecting that request.

What’s different is that it hasn’t been tweaked or tuned to his preferences such as the Bogner resonance or any features like his current mods.

The only thing Nick designed in this amp that Cameron didn’t is a very transparent passive effects loop.

You should probably try a real Cameron :sneaky:

Why’s that? I don’t hang from his nuts like some do here. This amp kicks ass and does all that I need
:ROFLMAO:

Just because Cameron's modded Marshalls are killer, doesn't mean anyone 'hangs from his nuts'.

That would be someone who defends his business practices. Which, to my knowledge no one does.
The Cameron's have always been the gold standard in modded Marshalls. I always get a kick out of a guy who says 'some are good, but some aren't that great' Lol.

I've had 10 and they all were killer. I guess I've just been lucky. Lol

Agreed. There have been 3 modded Marshall’s I liked even more (maybe partly from the donor amps), but other than those, the 5 Cameron mods I had in the past and close to a dozen other Cam mods I tried from friends stood out as markedly better to me than all the other modded Marshall’s I’ve owned or tried

Forgive my ignorance, but what did he do that others can't (or choose not to)?

There are incredible (to my ears) sounding amps from folks like Headfirst and Monomyth (to name but two)...... why are Cameron's amps so sought after?

I'd say first of all, and this is NO slight to Shea or Jason, I've had a Mono and it is also killer. The Camerons have a feel that's hard to replicate; and there's a term that people used to describe the upper mids/highs as a 'grind'. It's something that you have to experience for yourself. Cameron wouldn't take a 'cookie cutter' approach to mods...he'd do part of the mod, play the amp and make adjustments. This would continue until he got it right. Guys that have tried to copy it, can get close, and they sound killer too but there's always something missing vs a Cam. When I've heard Langner stuff, they also have a unique upper mid/high end content that is super cool and addicting.
And, like I usually say, none of these descriptions in any way justify the fact that he still owes amps/money to many.
