Well, I didn't need another guitar but I saw a crazy deal on this one out of Italy which saved me 800$ for what they go for in Canada so I pulled the trigger.

I have to say, nice finish on the guitar, extremely smooth player and fantastic pickups. BUT I noticed mine between the 2nd and 4th fret, lower half of the skunk stripe there is a slight not even paper thin raised wood feel that I can't believe they missed at the factory with Inspection. I am pretty sure it can be lightly sanded down but obviously I would want to go to one of their charvel repair centers for that. Anyone have any experience with this? I don't really want to send it back to Italy for such a minor detail but I will Def let them know. They could send me a neck easy and I can do the rest but I doubt they would do that. I guess it is a good chance to see what support is like. Anyway, not everyone's cup of tea but I am a huge Warren fan so...

That's really nice! Is that a JB in the bridge?

If it were mine and not wanting to return it, I’d sand it myself and do a few coats of hand rubbed watco to seal it

RTM but I will be honest, I think it is a JB with an alnico 2 as it sounds almost exactly like my fave pickup i have which is a stock boring JB with alnico 2. I really really like the quarter pound in the neck. Man its good.

There's apparently a Charvel warranty guitar shop near me who warranties a lot of the Fender, Charvel, Gretsch stuff and all you do is bring proof of purchase. I will see what they say. It's very minor that I honestly thought the skunk stripe was fake at first and it was just a paint thing. It's all uniform. I suppose it could be the result of weather and temp changes while this thing flew to europe from Mexico and back again up here. Very smooth though, fretwork is nice on this one and that is usually my concern with the pro mods. I probably could also just learn to live with it but when you pay over 1K, you gotta be picky.

I have a Charvel with same dealio. I think it’s just from temp changes. I don’t sweat it. It’s barely noticeable.

Did it get worse over time or just stay the same ? I'm thinking yes from temp changes for sure because they would have noticed it between Miguel and Rodriguo before they signed off on inspection. This thing projects unplugged as well. Open chords ring out nicely like my Jap YJM strat does.

Hasn’t changed at all that I can detect. Every once in a while I’ll feel it, notice it, but it doesn’t bug me at all. It’s very slight, doesn’t protrude very much but it’s there if you feel for it.

The neck pickup on those guitars is extremely smooth and buttery and does great clean!
