Several years ago got an American Special (first time having a Strat) and it didn’t take. Decided to grab a used Roadworn and try again. Let me blame my unfamiliarity with a Fender neck for clam city. Also for some reason when I get a Strat I seem determined to try and do a Gary Moore type run when I, a) never wood shedded that style in my life and b) can’t actually do it 😂 But I just love Gary’s Strat years so it’s a compulsion to rise above my station!

Im not getting along with the TS.
They sound so thin. Set at 6/64
Probably going to trade it in soon

It’s a video. Dropbox doesn’t seem to be compatible for embedding video.
I'm derpy - I just assumed it was an audio clip. Puttin the kids to bed and couldn't listen. Just pulled it up. Tasty tones and diggin that Strat a lot!

Thanks. It’s such a departure from a Gibson tone but I’m diggin’ it. The magic sauce with this guitar is having the tone knob on about 7 because the top strings will just kill ya.

I thought the American Special came with Tex-Mex? It’s Texas Specials? The one I had I returned because I wasn’t jiving with the Fender neck at the time and didn’t want to take a chance on getting used to it. But I thought the guitar sounded good and not too thin and that was through a Stiletto which is not exactly a warm amp.
