Struck out on a Les Paul so decided to go to opposite world instead. It’s the first gen of the Roadworns, 60’s Strat.
Plays well but it has 7’s on it and the high strings are like playing spaghetti 🙂
Interesting to try a guitar with 7’s. The high strings definitely plink and bend like melted butter but big chords sound as full as any other Strat I’ve played. Low strings can still chug with the best of them.
I’m actually going to try 8.5-40 and see if I can live with it. The action is nice and low on the whole neck and with a light touch it’s very playable. Plus I don’t want to deal with pulling the neck to tweak it if I put 9’s on.

That thing is awesome.
When I had a strat I tried to go for white like that.
But it needs 10's..

Dude if it's a first Gen.......

I remember the guys saying the dudes from Custom Shop went over there for the first ones or something and oversight. These things were amazing from the start.

Cheers man and looks sweet.

I think whoever owned it wired the third pot to bring another pickup in and out. I can’t figure it out exactly by ear but it definitely is not acting like a tone pot. 2nd knob has been made a universal tone pot for every pickup.

Happy NGD! Now yoy can take those fancy blues gigs 😁

Saw you on Boogie Board today, how come you never told us about a IIc+ they sold there for 2700? I would sell my neigbors to slavery to buy that one 😢

Sorry wasn’t floating around the classifieds. I take it that was a reissue?

I’m new to tremolos too and this one has the perfect amount of float on it. I really scored I think on the setup for a used guitar. Granted the strings are too light but if you actually liked 7’s I couldn’t imagine you wouldn’t need to change anything about the setup.

And rub it into your nut slots on string changes, as long as your nut is cut right you’ll barely have tot tune the thing.

I’d love to play with 7’s just to hear how poorly I could play out of tune on them, I imagine it’d be much like the first few times I played a scalloped fingerboard.
