First thing, congrats on a great looking guitar...glad you like it![]()
In regard to your quote...isn't this guitar pretty much strat shaped? And what makes it more versatile than any other two humbucker guitar with volume/tone controls and splittable pickups?
It is a double cutaway/bolt-on config guitar, however the outline is far enough away from a Fender Strat that It has it's own thing going for it. I wouldn't say that it is the most versatile guitar around, but it beats my Charvels in the following.
Trem= Has a blocked mode built in and is fully floating
Controls- Has a tone knob that is really responsive
Pickups- Coil tapped and do great in both modes
Body Materials- Basswood+Maple top is probably one of my favorite wood combos, cutting, sustain, and great snap when clean.
Neck- The wax/gun oiled birdseye neck is also among my favorite next to BRW and Ebony.
The Charvels are almost peerless in their class, but this guitar suits my needs and style a little bit better.
These guitars are awesome under-the-radar machines, much like many other peavey guitars over the years. I was enamored with my first Wolfgang special back in the day, but prefer the layout and changes in the HP.
