Higgins India ink, non-waterproof. Still a dark brown, but noticing more black areas with more coats. In the right light angle, you can still see the black sharkfins, or they disappear completely except they're more reflective than the board.
I have 6-7 darkening ink coats on it, and lots of ink left over. I'll probably treat the board several times each string change. Playing it I'm not getting any ink residue on my hand. All good.
The G string didn't want to stay locked in, popped out at least 3-4 times before it finally stayed in. Love/hate with FR continues.
