how did the gig go yesterday? I saw some pics of your ozzy band that Sean Harold posted on FB... I was reminded yesterday by my wife that it was our 16th wedding anniversary so I opted NOT to ask to go to a bar by myself and watch live music! LMAO!

oh yeah man.. if you EVER decided to get rid of the J Frog.... LET ME KNOW! I would even sell my Engl SE to get that man. I have always wanted one. I actually have a M1 Tiger that was owned by George and played and toured with in the back for the attack era. it's with Mike Nedd right now getting some 6100's installed as I type this! should have it back for my show at Fitz this weekend!

Went great. Short 45 min set. Hopefully the event raised a lot of money for Ramey and his family. But ya, ya better have took the wife out for dinner or something. Lol! It' a J frog replica. It's made by X Ray guitars. It's great though. I wanted it since I was a kid myself. Your Tiger Stripe sounds awesome. A real piece of guitar god history actually. Mike Nedd is awesome. His shop is right by my house. I've been going to Kat's alot lately though cause he has been really busy.

EMG 81 and 60. I'm probably going to change that though. I really prefer a 85 in the bridge and an 81 in the neck. Not the norm but I like it.

I was at nedds today dropping off my Screamin demon and some Ernie ball cobalts to put on the ESP. He said he will have it refretted and ready to roll by Saturday for my show at fitzgeralds. Can't wait to get it back with the 6100's on it bro!

I really dig this guitar. I'm not jelling with the pickup's though. I believe it's a Duncan JB in the bridge and forgot which Duncan single coil is in the neck. It's odd cause I generally like Duncan pickups. But at my show Sunday I used my other guitars that have EMG's for most of the set. I used the Charvel for the last 2 songs and just noticed a huge difference in the tone. So it's having EMG's put in it. 85 in the bridge and the SA single coil in the neck. I like an 85 in the bridge and an 81 in the neck. The 81 is to ice picky to my ears in the bridge. It has a great cut in the neck though and the 85 in a bridge has a nice chunky and thick tone to it. I went ahead and ordered an ivory 85 and 81 for the Rhoads polka dot flying V that will be here tomorrow. :rock:
 
Happy new NGD day... like them both, but am partial to that eclipse, personally.

So... how do the LTD eclipses compare to the ESP? Fit and finish would be almost on par I would think but what about the tone?
 
Well, the feel is very similar although my LTD's have 24 frets and the ESP has 22. As far as tone it's hard to tell. The ESP sounds great but it's got an 81 in the bridge and I have 85's in my LTD's but will be putting an 85 in the ESP as well.
 
The Flying V came in today.
