I have arthritis in my neck... and the Les Paul I owned was just too heavy. After 20 minutes of practicing and standing, my entire neck and shoulder area burn and then I get a kink in my neck that lasts all night. I am 45... it happens. So I traded a 2001 Gibson Les Paul Custom and a PRS 408 and I ended up with this BFR7 and a Signature Series Luke III with the rosewood neck. It is sunburst HSS and is freaking awesome... just blows me away that so many people seem to ignore Music Man... these guitars are just fantastic. The Luke III needed a setup so I will pick that up tomorrow afternoon.

The Music Man guitars are very light and they play and sound just amazing to me. I had never played one before I decided to try this Majesty. After I played it for a few days, I started wondering why I hadn't tried one in all these years. I watched the video below and he says that once you play a Music Man, you get bitten and are a Music Man Zombie from then on!

Here is a pic I found of a Luke III like the one I bought.

Edit: Thanks to NaturalBornBoy for pointing out that this was a BFR7.

Is that really a JP13???

I thinks it's a BFR7, not a JP13.

the new Luke III has a great neck, Im a big MM guy, have 2 silo specials and an American made sub1 all with various pups, duncans, dimarzios...

Yeah that's what I was going to say.

Nice dude. I just got a BFR last month too.

I've been pondering over switching out my Suhr Modern custom for either a JP, a Vigier Excalibur, or a top spec custom 24.

I don't have the heart to let the Suhr go though. I think the Suhr is the better made guitar of the bunch & it's fairly unique, being a custom job. I just kinda wish the cutaway was more comfortable.

I think you are right. lol. I was wondering why it didn't have the 13 on the inlay but has "JP". They called it JP13 at GC.

Congrats. Music man makes my fav guitars. The luke III is my favorite guitar of all time. Enjoy!!!

Congrats! I recently acquired a JP7 with the "all-rosewood-neck". The honeymoon period is over and i still cannot overcome the fact how good it plays. Thats my first EBMM and seriously, I understand the hype.
Not my pix, but same guitar (except mine is 7):

Congrats! I would love to see that rosewood neck on a 7 string. These guitars are SICK! They play and sound amazing!

Whats the deal with the rosewood neck? Don't see many guitars with them

I have a BFR its a great swiss army knife guitar but I think it looks like absolute shit!

I think asthetically they are some of the worst looking guitars with the paint jobs/tops but they are great playing wise
