I believe you're only required to attend divine liturgy once a year and take communion. You could probably convert with a couple trips there and some personal study over time. They would make you a catechumen usually for 1-3 years before baptizing you. I would love to visit Holy Cross. I feel like there is a big movement beginning there because so many young people are headed there wanting to be monks they don't have enough shelter for them. People living in RV's right now I'm told.
I’m still going to go visit. I actually did try to call to arrange one but no answer. Their caller id probably said don’t answer this one…lol

Ok? So you change the text of my post to say that I am one of several sock accounts and and your reasoning is that?

Don't believe all the signs you read on the information super highway.

I should mention, maybe I already have previously, that the rewards for those seeking from afar, those making a sojourn or pilgrimage is greater. But the opposition, even from ones own family and mind, will be greater.

I like to include prayers for the dead in my evening prayers before bed. It's something definitely overlooked in the protestant churches. I have quite a long list of friends who died of overdoses, suicides, and tragic accidents. I have a lot of elderly (deceased) people who were really great to me that I try to remember and pray for. This is a really great video for anyone interested if you are concerned about someone's soul. Highly recommended and worth your time.

How about the dead from the neck up ?

Though the body be without full faculties the Lord still nourishes the non functioning parts unto bodily death. Greater the joy will be those lacking what we take for granted when they receive it and perhaps louder the shouts of praise that will emanate from their lips.
