Yeah it was dick move, big time, I admit it. Perhaps you can forgive me for that one of these days. Insults, fighting, and drinking were the area pastimes growing up so when it goes to that conflict level my old defense mechanisms kick in hard. I been struggling for years not to be a quickdraw on lowest common denominator stuff. Not an excuse, just a passion I have struggled with for a long time.
I WANT THE OLD VB BACK RIGHT NOW YOU IMPOSTER

That's not my name. And what does that even have to do with anything? I don't need to post a clip to tell if your guitar mix is hot or your timing is off.
I never could produce a track that would make my farts smell any better.

That's because praying for people once they are dead is useless. Nothing changes their fate after that... Read your Bible.
Paul prays for Onesiphoros in 2 Timothy 16-18. If you consider that we are all members of the body in Christ, and alive in him, then you really aren't praying for dead people, are you? It's an act of love my friend.

Serious question.

No worries man. Nobody is perfect.
I appreciate the sentiment though

This one seems drenched in the blessed soy
I told you, you inspired me last night. If you hadn't made this thread I'd still probably be telling Arch how to mix a clean guitar. You say your Jesus prayers and a lot of extraneous stuff ceases to be important because it is THE stairway to heaven.

"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have Mercy on me, a sinner."

You could be a saint brother.

Who said I ain’t a saint ?

You said there were no such things as saints in the early portions of this thread. I got inspired and stayed up until midnight reading all the great many quotes from our holy fathers and sharing them here. I think you are starting to disprove some of your own claims.

I don’t believe I’m a saint, but if YOU want to, be my guest.

One thing I learned in orthodoxy is that we aren't supposed to insult others because every single person is created in the image of Christ, therefore when you cast your gaze upon them, you are actually seeing Christ. Think of the biggest, most lecherous dirtball you've ever known and dwell on that. It's a hard teaching to implement. But that is how Robert Rule was able to forgive serial killer Gary Ridgeway for murdering his daughter. Even Ridgeway, somewhere in his corrupted being, carries that image of Christ.

I sometimes dwell upon God's created beings, us humans. It's amazing, the variety he has created in his majesty. No two are exactly alike. Each person, billions of us, completely unique in mind and body. Even identical twins have different fingerprints. In my mind's eye I can see the Lord creating all the Palm trees, how their fronds fan on in glory giving him praise from just a small shoot to something large and expansive that can keep the rain off or provide shade from the sun. God is the master craftsman of all master craftsmen.

Obviously. Who uses the term man gravy ? Makes it sound damn delicious ! ?

Did any of you fellas know there are 365 "fear not" passages in the bible? One for each day of the year.
