No love for Greenday

I haven't read the rehab article yet, but I'm glad he said something. And I do like Green Day. I think it's easy to trash on them now, but they got me into playing powerchords really fast all downstrokes when I was 13 in the mid nineties, so I'm not ashamed.

Too bad about the guitar though.

Hey here's a good joke.

How does Justin Bieber take off a Condom?

He farts.

Just noticed that his rep is apologizing for him and making it known that their setlist wasn't cut short. I guess the rep didn't see the 1 min sign.

I love what he did but i wish he would of taken it down a notch, just a notch!!! it was straddling the line between cool and winy teenager for me, though as stated before most of the audience probably were teenagers

and whats with all the katy perry love? lol, i think shes completely average looking, of course its a matter of opinion.

I'm glad he spoke his mind. It's not the audience's fault, as mentioned above, it's the venue/show management that should have had their nuts tied for this. Biggest thing is - so BJA says what he says - then within 10 minutes the next act comes out and it's all forgotten.

Plastic music for plastic people - not surprising, but hell yeah to BJA to speaking his mind... Guy's cut his teeth the real way, put in his time, and is - through and through - a touring rock musician along with a solid troupe of band members who've stayed the course.

Fuck fake music. Just fuck it and all the shitheads that go with it.
I think it is the audience/fans fault. You can see many of the kids sitting on their hands waiting for the next pop act, the one they really came to see. It's the fans who ultimately dictate which bands get their set shortened because of what they buy.
I'm not gonna pick bones about this, but the audience is there due to the marketing of the commissioned bands there. WHY someone would ticket Green Day along with a bunch of toilet pop is kind of a mystery to me. Green Day and Usher?? The venue agents must have been getting blown by some very special talent to come up with this bill.

Agreed. She's got some looks here and there, but otherwise, a bit of a bore. Not to mention any gal that swings that religimous card around is a very short date in my books.

Mo,

I talking about giving her a pearl necklace, not a relationship

Peace

I always liked Green Day. I come from the 80's metal scene but I still liked them when they came out.

I'm not a huge fan but I appreciate good songwriting and loud guitars.

I guess this made alot of 12 year old girls moist. What a statement, what a showman. Nothing like crying like a bitch in front of thousands. Must be a real rush.

How would you react if you were a touring, professional musician for about 25 years, and your set got cut short so someone could lip-sync to bad dance music?

I guess he should have acted like a professional then.

This is rock n' roll. If you want maturity and professionalism, you can catch Barry Manilow in Vegas 5 nights a week.

This whole thing is getting super shady and weird. It's as if they're scrambling to do damage control, and kiss Clear Channel's ass and apologize.

Truth.

Fines will need to be paid, representatives and agents need to be apologized to and paid off, future contracts, the advertisers, the whole bloody lot of then. "Good show gone bad", so now it's a phony rehab admission (the hollywood standby for all things that go bad..."obviously wasn't of sound mind" blah blah blah), the agents make public apologies, and eventually, the engine will try to spin this (if they're good enough) into a positive press impact.

i bet he didnt really want to be there anyway...i wouldnt have. i detest all the garbage they were stuck between. crap "artists", who dont write their own songs, are autotuned to death in the studio, and are just boring.

give me Green Day any day over that crap. hell, i wasnt even in high school when Dookie came out. that album is still kick ass and one of my favorites of all time. my first concert was Green Day, with the Riverdales (with Johnny Ramone!) opening up. good times. and i probably would have ranted as well. may not have broken a guitar, then again i really cant afford to! LOL

First of all, am I the only one who read the phrase "any gal" like four times because my brain couldn't process that it wasn't spelling anal? LOL

Anyways wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't just a publicity stunt for that new Green Day album UNO or whatever, 'cause they sure are getting a lot of attention right now.
