honestly I dont remember, it was over a year ago when I uploaded that clip.....sorry.

'S cool. I've been using a fancy Banzai Fireball od for a while now, but last night I busted out the ol' Bad Monkey with my Maz & was quite pleasantly surprised. :)

I really liked my JVM... Probably the only piece of gear I regret selling...

man there's not enough non brootz marshall up in this piece.

I :inlove: JCM 800s. Unbeatable rock tone right there. I am building myself one this summer

JVM's on the otherhand... god I can't stand those
Ugh. Most of the new Marshall's suck ballz. The Vintage Modern had a different tinge to it but took waaaay too long to dial in.

With something as simple as an 800, or even a 900 to certain extents, you could just turn it on, turn it up, and there would be the core tone, irrevelant of it's basic EQ settings.

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout!
+1

That tone is awesome, man. Seriously, pretty much everything I look for in tone.

I'd love to try out a Splawn. They're so rare here in Europe.

Marshall makes the best amps i came across so far and i really tried the most.
I too think the JVM is a monster amp- but it has to be dialed in right.

Ah my soul and tone guidance guru, yes the sands of time have brought me to a different place. A place of un-polished reckless abandon of pushed tubes of glass and filiments bringing the timeless tonal bliss that only the Doctor of Loud can bring. Endless treks ended fruitless time and time again while the answer was always there.

Riddle me this oh Sage of tone......................

wasnt that an old bogner

A good old Marshall half stack. :inlove:

That classic Marshall roar gets me every time. I think I need to get my self another 800 when my life settles down a bit.

Dont get me wrong I love my Axe-Fx you cannot beat it for recording, but sometimes you need to crank a classic Marshall through a 4x12 and feel your face melted with pure sex coming from the speakers.

:rawk:

And damn you're fucken right too Neil...........

As I've said before I love my MarkIV, but damn I regret not buying a Marshall Plexi when I had the chance.

Whys that?

Just sounds harsh and unpleasant to me. I am sure it has plenty to do with my own dialing, but I have spent a decent amount of time with JVMs and I can't get a tone out of it that works for me. And comparing it to say a JCM800, it just doesn't have "it" like that amp has, and it is definitely not a plug and play like most other marshalls

 Oh Yeah!!
