maybe im a hot rodded marshall guy??? I've always gotten rid of my marshall amps, including straight up clones (have a jtm45 clone im not bonding with atm.) I picked up a Splawn quickrod in a trade, older one without the b+ thing and i have to say this amp does everything. im no metal guy but ive been giving this metal band a shot and this amp is killing it. when i do my classic rock jazzy type stuff, the amp does it in spades. It's great! The quickrod really made me realize I have a surplus in gear (even guitars! lol). This amp seems to be all i need right now, except maybe one practice combo.

Never thought I would own another splawn. I had one of the first gen pro mods way back in the day and I did not like it at all lol. The amp really exceeded my expectations.

Really dig my 2C+ but a Marshall is a must have IMO. DSL, JCM, JMP....gotta have one. Stock, modded....based on....I don't care. I have a 4104 combo coming.. 600 bucks. Yup. Gotta have one.

I have a modded 1959SLP reissue and it's heavenly. Still... I find myself shopping for a JMP all the time too.

OP. I hear ya. I'm a 'hot rodded' Marshall guy myself, and haven't liked much of the stock offerings from Marshall aside from one or two of the newer ones. I'm currently loaning my buddy's Quickrod, and you're right man, it can do it all. One of my favorite sounding amps for sure. Even my wife loves it lol. But I do own a Friedman modded Jet City amp that absolutely rips, and this weekend I'm borrowing a Bogner XTC for a recording project. Bootsted/hot rodded Marshall "roar" is definitely my thing. And although I'm not a big fan of Mesa amps, I do own an early black dot Mark III that is amazing for what it does.
