I think it was The Monsters of Rock tour for me....
So many Cool bands on one bill.
Kindom Come, Dokken, Scorpions, Metallica, Van Halen....

I am pretty sure my new "Best concert" is going to be in August when Slayer, Megadeth, Testament come to Detroit!

will be awesome, going to see the same show in August, I'm a Slayer fan, but I'm a MAJOR Exodus fanboy, so they'll have BIG shoes to fill IMHO.

Last time I saw Slayer was in Dallas with Lamb of God (who also put on a FANTASTIC show), and LoG made Slayer look like a garage band, but in all fairness they were have a VERY bad night..... totally blew South of Heaven, after that they couldn't get their shit together.

oh yeah, another for the list...

Clash of the Titans, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Alice In Chains..... Slayer KILLED everyone on that tour, plus I got to meet Layne and Jerry that night too so that helps. :D

Led Zeppelin Madison Square garden, pity only I wasn't there

.... I have seen over 3000 bands at this point. At one time it was not uncommon for me to see 5~10 bands a night. Hundreds of concerts. I would give mention to Tool, Slayer, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, NIN, The Cure, Black Sabbath, Beastie Boys, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Rolling Stones and many more.

Roger Waters was the best. No one or band really comes close in my experience.

Never saw Roger Waters or Floyd at all....
Had a chance to see Floyd back in 1991 for Momentary lapse of Reason.....
Passed on it....

Damaged Justice tour,88/89 so it both times,at Cobo
and pine knob, except people were throwing shoes, cans
etc at Queensryche.I like the Cult better though.
Plus I had 3 row,I was between James and Kirk, felt like
a little kid.still have my ticket stubs hahaha

I saw that tour .....

The last tour Roger did all of Dark Side of the Moon. The next tour I hear well be The Wall.

I really enjoyed Symphony X when I saw them.. Mainly because they were my favorite band at the time (still love them,) and the fact that I was dead front of the stage, and got to meet them after!

Tool was probably the best concert I've been to in terms of putting on a 'show.' It was truly an experience!

The best for me definately was 3 yrs ago, I'm a huge zakk/bls fan and I went to see them at the rams head in Baltimore and I always wanted to meet zakk. So me and my wife, son and brother waited outside for him to walk inside and he stopped and signed some autographs for us and took some pictures. Then zakk gave us all backstage passes and said the best place for us to watch the show was onstage and he wanted to make sure my 9yr at the time would have a good veiw and be able to see. Inbetween songs the zakk kept giving us guitar picks, I also got the backplate signed on one of my zakk lp.
All the guys in the band was cool and zakk was really awsome, as a longtime fan it was a special night for me an my family. My son still talks about how cool it. Zakk gave him the mic and let him talk to the crowd too.

I've seen hundreds of shows and that one stands out as my fav.

My 2nd fav was metallica/guns n roses at giants stadium. I had good seats and it was 2 of my favorite bands playing together. It was awsome.

Thats what I am SAYING!!
The thing people dont realize....behind all that Gimmick....they are a TIGHT BAND and freaking rip!
I can see where most people get turned off though.....

Maiden on the Powerslave tour, Queensryche opened, or Queensryche on the Mindcrime tour. Next would be Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd Arrowhead stadium May 26, 1988 I still have the ticket stub

For arena bands/shows I'd say...

Roger Waters - Pros & Cons w/Clapton on guitar - Montreal Forum 1984
Floyd - 1st tour w/out Roger (forget the album) - Montreal Forum 1986 or 1987
Rush - Take your pick

For small venues/clubs I'd say...

Marillion - Season's End - Montreal Spectrum & Paradise in Boston - 1990
Karnivool - Sound Awake - Bourbon Street in Baltimore - 3 days ago
