JL is good stuff though, used to have the Maple brown sugar tender cuts all the time, great snack if you're working out a lot...then I got cheap and started having almonds instead
Yeah, it probably gets taxed from here to eternity! With shipping costs/VAT/overhead for the store.. The 25 grams I had was worth the 4$ I paid, but still.
Shit, Jerky is pretty easy to make. My uncle would make TONS of Deer or Elk Jerky after we went hunting when I was a kid and it was awesome!! You guys have assloads of Reindeer in Norway, Grab a rifle and get to work Bro!!!
That`s actually true, and I forgot about the reindeer meat. The Sami people up north makes it for home use. It`s the leanest meat you can find, and very very good!
I have a buddy who lives in Stockholm but grew up WAY up in Northern Sweden in a place called Korpilombolo. I went up with him to visit his folks and it was friggin Lapland. I then got an education on the sami people and their history and learned that they extend through Northern Sweden, Finland and Norway and that in many cases, the term Lapland is considered insulting( never got the full 411 on that)...
Any who, it was cold as hell up there and we were on his parents back porch having a smoke and a beer and Ive got my feet kicked up and we were just BS'ing when all of the sudden, I hear this Rifle go off. I look over and my friend had just nailed a Reindeer that was about 30ft away that had wandered into the backyard.
We cleaned it and then his mom and dad butchered it and we ate everything from Reindeer steaks to Stew and they made Jerky as well as a bunch of other stuff. They also dont waste any part of the animal but there were things that I just wasnt willing to eat. Pretty cool though, being able to bag dinner in your backyard like that but like I said, they were WAY up north and Im definitely wouldnt dig living up there; too desolate and they bring new meaning to the word cold..
