Hello RT!

I received a stunning new Griffin Analog Manticore pedal. It is in a sweet hammered enclosure and jeez.... this thing rips!

I will have to get a picture up ASAP - looks classy as can be with the tone to match.

Talk about a really versatile pedal - this is it. The knobs are extremely interactive with one another. It's like each knob kind of dials in something that rest somehwere in the overall frequency spectrum bubble, but they can slightly overlap, allowing a LOT of shaping options.

I tend to hear that mid-pushed, almost tube-screamery thing in the circuit, but it doesn't always have to be present like many pedals with that mid hump thing that goes on.

I find that the knobs kind of do and do not do what you think they may.

Example - the treble knob adds a certain thickness to the upper register, it doesn't just jump it up in brightness or thin it out.

It is almost like having an OD/Boost with a type of built in EQ.

I mean, i get a lot of pedals have EQ options, but this is a bit different in the way it can boost or cut certain frequencies in the range.

Keeping in the vein of being really versatile - this is one that seems to like other pedals being driven into it - which is a bonus.

Matching just this single pedal along with the G.A. Pultec EQ pedal behind it..... Dude, the tonal possibilities are much more vast than you would imagine.

I always feel blessed to be able to get to have fun with these little boxes of magic that Wayne produces.

Cork-sniffer grade eyebrow scrunching and guitar face going on here with those 2 pedals on.

Kudos to @griff10672 for another winner!

The powder coat is called silver hammer ...
This pedal is one of the best OD circuits I've cloned .... super versatile ... goes from Klon tones ...to 808 tones ... to a really decent what I'd almost call a distortion pedal

That's how come I posted that little board. OD+G.A Pultec as an always on combo. Hopefully your tone testing included plugging in with that sweet red PRS. Congrats on the scores! Wayne makes sweet pedals!!!

It's been all LP of late to be honest. The Blues Heritage set has just been lot of fun to play on on that guitar.

Yeah man, Wayne's stuff is so good, it made it easy to sell off my old pedals.

Don't worry, that PRS is going to rip through that Manticore ASAP!
