I'm kinda late to the party, but just got the thornbucker + bridge and thornbucker neck for my Les Paul Shred (Floyd Rose equiped). I must say, these replaced an Aldrich set and my concern was whether or not I would loose that much output through my Friedman. I have come to the realization that you simply do not need high output pickups for most applications anymore. I am a child of the 80's so I like hair metal up to modern non-screamo types of music. It's amazing that the gain and output are still there, except with much more clarity and musicality. Also, I've noticed that for neck pickups in a Les Paul, anything over ~7.5K you need to be care not to get muddy for cleans. These pickups simply are a great balance of output, clarity, balance and harmonics.

that's cool for you Bro. I haven't tried those pups but I'm a big fan of the Aldrich's.

I am having one installed in the bridge of my Heritage. Will try it tomorrow.

Cool, never tried them but I do like the SSV+ SSH set that came in my Suhr Standard pro and I LOVE the 7 Hot hat came in my Suhr MS7...awesome 7 string pickup.

How do they compare with the SSV+ is you've tried those?
