It’s all subjective and there are bootlegs from the early 80’s out there that clearly demonstrate a wicked clean , precision of technique that you can make an argument that after 1985 , that magic wasn’t quite as potent. The Sweden demos are insane and I just don’t thing he can physically play at that level today and I’ve followed every thing he’s released . Rising force first LP is the pinnacle yngwie . I do have to say the late 90’s/early 2000’s when I watched his soundchecks , he was just ridiculously good .. it’s all up for grabs.. the concerto suite was a peak musical milestone … to be able to play with an orchestra and be dynamic in the performance is huge accomplishment. He also plays different with different line ups .. some of the most musical solos imo were on the Alcatrazz album ..It don’t matter who made them . I just thought it was …cheesy . Lol I can’t think of another word . But I love the solos yes . But you’d probably think some of what I think is good is cheesy too . It happens
