I think it sounds good. The very end of the video sounded cool. I think I'd rather have the JJ from what I've heard but oddly enough I do like the look of this. Would definitely need the matching cab though.

Not knocking anyone but I do get a chuckle out of the folks with negative comments about the playing / settings etc when it's the player's signature amp. Basically his amp for what he wants and needs. I can see it now....

"Ok Bill, you've shown it in your style but we're now prepped for the followups. We've got you're snakeskin Charvel right over here ready to go!"

I was really impressed with this amp at NAMM. I don't think this video really captures what it can do.

Good call on what looks like active pickups, they drive the shit out of med gain amps so this thing is going to be pushed into fizz-o-stratosphere.

I can get that same tone with Amplitube, just have to turn the cab models off.

These are passives.

Kinda like the first JP2C vids, this one will only appeal the Mastodon fans. I didn't like it. That Friedman compression kills it for me. I'm sure it can be dialed in better and sound great in person though.

not sure what some of these comments derive from. That amp sounds phenomenal and REALLY fits what Bill does.
I love his playing style too. the clip sounded a bit fizzy but that could be any variable, and i like fizz anyways, so fuck it.

Sounds like it has more gain than the JJ... I really wish Friedman made 20 watt amps with that kind of gain. I love my PT20 but crave just a bit more gain.

not sure what is worse, the playing, the sound, and the name....probably all of the above....good luck with that product...to each his own...thank goodness for choice..

Would love to try one of these in the flesh. I bet it sounds amazing!

-all of the FRIEDMAN's I've played aren't super high gain, I run the gain on my JJ at 10,..

-I was really hoping the butter cab would of had the 15" speakers that were rumored to have initially been...

-I have 2 CELESTION 15" FULLBACK's in boxes that I'm going to use when I get moved,.... The old 15" GREENBACK's are incredibly awesome speakers, would love to have a 4x15 A/stack like Johan has.

Can't wait to hear some folks that don't play Mastodon stuff demo this. Not that I don't like Mastodon (I do), just looking to hear a different players perspective.

I think the amp has great tone... I'm just not a fan of that style of playing, and I'm not saying Bill is not a good player, so don't read that into it… but, say if Reza did his typical review of it turning the knobs, switching channels I think more would probably love it! I watched a YouTube video, a very short one of a guy playing through it and it sounded amazing!

There's a 4 x 12 and one with 2 x 12s and 2 x 15s in it

-really!!... I thought the 15's got shit canned, any idea what the 15's are?

Guess this amp has potential, but releasing this as an Official video.......
Talk to Ola Eglund and maybe people will buy it based on a video.
