Yeah i live in Monmouth County NJ. Maybe 15 min from seaside and such. I never go to any of the hot spots in NJ anymore ( Not that i ever really have). Got dragged to the Tiki bar in Pt. Pleasant and i wanted to puke.

Back in the 80's we would ride our bikes to Seaside, sit on the strip and cuss the Guidos in their IROC Z28s and Trans Ams. Bicycle was the best way to get around because the whole area was congested with IROCs and hairspray. We were being punks in a way, but didn't like the fact that they came down and trashed the place. We were a large local crew that hung mostly in Ortley. Cool to see some others that are familiar with the area.

I used to play at Jenks and Bar A. Sure it's full of greasy blockheads, but there's plenty of normal people as well. But that whole club scene as far as bands go is bullshit. There were a lot of cool places to play like the Pony, Fastlanes, The Saint, Club Bene, Studio 1, Birch Hill, PLaypen. I know most of those places are gone, except the Stone Pony which seems to reopen every few years. I think the Brighton Bar in Long Branch is a cool little shithole for original bands to play. And i imagine there's still some places in New Brunswick and there's still Maxwells in Hoboken right?

Yeah Kyle used to book me at the Stone Pony, Birch Hill, And Club Bene/Krome. Is he still booking?
I hate the Saint, satudio one is banana joes, never heard of the fastlane or playpen.
The real issue these days is we show up to play a gig and there is zero attendance. whats the point of a gig If I have to bring the fanbase with me? Wed rather get a keg and have all our friends over to our practice studio for a rager!
